Ottoman Space Empire encounters its first alien artefacts

I had a story in mind when I prompted #MidJourney to create the accompanying image. I have fed a similar prompt to #ChatGPT to see if it can come up with the story. Here’s my second attempt at using #IslamicFuturism via #ChatGPT:

The Ottoman Space Empire had been expanding its reach across the galaxy for centuries, establishing colonies on distant planets and moons. The empire’s flagship, the OSE Crescent, had been at the forefront of these efforts, boldly charting a course through the unknown reaches of space.

In 3140, the Crescent and its crew of seasoned explorers reached a new planet unlike any they had seen before. The planet’s surface was dotted with towering structures and intricate carvings, clearly the work of intelligent beings.

As they explored this mysterious world, the scouts came across a massive statue of an alien life form. It was unlike anything they had ever seen before, with a long, serpentine body and a strange, otherworldly face.

The discovery sent shockwaves through the empire, and the Sultanate Science Foundation immediately dispatched a team of scholars to investigate the finding. The team included theologians, who were tasked with pondering the implications of discovering definitive proof of one of Allah’s other worlds.

As the scholars studied the alien statue, they were struck by its beauty and complexity. They knew that this was a momentous discovery, one that could change the course of history.

But they also knew that it posed a great challenge to the empire’s religious beliefs. If the statue was truly the work of an alien race, then it meant that Allah’s creations were not limited to the human race. This raised fundamental questions about the nature of divinity, and the role of humanity in the universe.

The theologians spent many long hours in deep contemplation, seeking guidance from the holy texts and the wisdom of the ancients. In the end, they reached a consensus: the discovery of the alien statue was a sign that the empire’s faith was strong enough to withstand the challenges of a changing world.

And so, the Ottoman Space Empire continued to explore the galaxy, driven by a sense of wonder and a deep faith in the divine. They knew that there were many more discoveries to be made, and many more mysteries to be unraveled, in the vastness of space.

Prompt: Write a sci-fi story where the Ottoman Space Empire have colonized distant solar systems. In 3140, scouts reach a new planet and discover a huge statue of an alien life form. This is the first time they have found evidence of non-human life. The Sultanate Science Foundation sends a scholars to investigate this new finding, including theologians to ponder the implications of finding definitive proof of one of Allah’s other worlds.
